sad reality

from the new yorker article i read today:


The jury is out, but one thing is for sure: film is dwindling into a minority taste, upheld largely by professionals and stubborn, nostalgic perfectionists. Nikon now offers twenty-two digital models, for instance, while the "wide array of SLR film cameras," as promised on its Web site, numbers precisely two.

That's just not right. My boyfriend is totally old school. He owns cameras from the 1910s and later. He's even contemplating turning the bathroom in his small apartment into a darkroom. I told him he just has to keep his bathroom safe for me to use. I don't want to get acid burns from the toilet. :)
